Very Special Awards

• All winning entires and finalists will receive extensive Bay Area media coverage of their work.
• All winning entries and finalists will be displayed on a multi-city exhibition tour following the contest,        including the 2018 Marin County Fair with its expected attendance of over 120,000 people. 
• Other promotional opportunities will be developed.  

Prizes will be awarded in two age categories: ages 12-14 and 15-18. Winning posters showing the most originality in artis­tic expression and communication of the project’s theme and objectives are eligible for the following prizes:

  • First Prize in each age category: $150 in art supplies to winner and $150 in art supplies to the art program of the artist’s school/organization
  • Second Prize in each age category: $100 in art supplies to winner and $100 in art supplies to the art program of the artist’s school/organization
  • Third Prize in each age category: $75 in art supplies to winner and $75 in art supplies to the art program of the artist’s school/organization
  • Honorable Mention(2)  in each age category: $50 in art supplies to winner and $50 in art supplies to the art program of the artist’s school/organization
  • Finalists:  5 Finalists will also be selected in each age category and will receive $25 in art certificates

                                                                   Producer's Award
The poster that best illustrates and communicates the theme of the contest- Empowering Youth to Change Our World- will be awarded the Producer's Award. The prize will be a $250 gift certificate scholarship for art classes at Riley Street Art Supply and/or art supplies.

                                                 Marin County Fair Commissioners' Award  
This award will be chosen by the management of the Marin County Fair and displayed at the Marin County Fair over the 4th of July weekend. Prize to be determined.
